v0.1.1 Stable

2026-08-05 11:21:10 +00:00 | 19 commits to main since this release0.1.1 - audit fixes
Baseline fixes on top of 0.1.0, proven by upgrading the first pilot laptops in place (0.1.0 -> 0.1.1 via the on-device update).
Sound now works on GNOME hosts (PipeWire in the baseline) and color emoji render instead of tofu. Printing (CUPS + mDNS) and scanning (SANE, driverless) ship in the baseline. comin is the single update source; system.autoUpgrade is disabled. The base gains NTFS support and zram swap. SSH is key-only fleet-wide (password authentication off). Supply chain trimmed: 10 dead flake inputs dropped (25 -> 15). A workplace-baseline coverage check guards these so they cannot silently regress. Tokodon (Mastodon client) is now optional via dawo.desktop.plasma.socialClient.
Issues #35-#44. Filesystem study (bcachefs) tracked separately in #45.
Tested, written and integrated by a human; the code is AI-assisted.

v0.1.0 Stable
released this
2026-06-29 12:23:23 +00:00 | 38 commits to main since this release0.1.0 - pilot baseline
First tagged DAWO release: the baseline image for the first pilot.
Lean core with opt-in apps, shell and browser; pilot hosts enable office, comms, creative and media so they are productive out of the box. Reproducible network install proven on real hardware (ThinkPad T495s and HP EliteBook 850 G7). Per-model hardware support: a generic baseline plus per-model modules, or nixos-facter for unknown models (see modules/hardware/hardware.md). Disk encryption (LUKS via disko); GNOME or KDE Plasma, one per host. On-device proof: dawo-proof reports the release (0.1.0) next to the exact flake revision, so support can read off both per device.Earlier 0.1.x numbers were never tagged, so the first real release starts at 0.1.0.
