Provider Kubernetes

This chart configures the Crossplane Kubernetes provider so it can manage Kubernetes resources directly in our clusters.

How it works

DeploymentRuntimeConfig

The chart uses a DeploymentRuntimeConfig to adjust the settings of the provider pod running in the cluster, most notably the ServiceAccount it runs under.

Provider

The chart creates the provider-kubernetes provider referenced above.

For an overview of the resources managed by this provider (such as Object), see the Crossplane Kubernetes provider docs.

ProviderConfig

The ProviderConfig defines how the provider authenticates. We use InjectedIdentity, so the provider authenticates using the ServiceAccount configured via the DeploymentRuntimeConfig above and manages resources in the cluster it runs in.
